Robert Cuscino

Robert Cuscino is the Vice President of Regional Development, Americas, Evonik Corporation, the regional subsidiary of the global specialty chemicals company Evonik Industries AG, based in Essen, Germany. Cuscino is based at the regional R&D headquarters in Allentown, PA. He serves on the Americas Leadership Team and has held the position since March 2021.

He is responsible for the operational and strategic development of the North and South American regions. In this role, he also oversees various regional departments/activities including Evonik’s Energy Industry Team, Regional Digitalization and Sustainability, M&A, as well as traditional business development. His team identifies external trends and translates them into opportunities for Evonik’s diverse set of businesses.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the chemical industry, Cuscino started his career as a process engineer for Air Products and Chemicals, in Allentown, PA. He spent 12 years at Air Products followed by 13 years at Wacker Chemical Corporation. His career has advanced through numerous levels of increasing responsibility spanning many aspects of a chemical operating company including engineering, R&D, operations, supply chain, sales, business development, marketing, and overall P&L management.

Cuscino holds a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College, a masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University, and an MBA from Lehigh University.

He and his wife have two daughters.
